Kickboxing

Like many of the other girls I received very little feedback. Several likes, and support from other girls who have kickboxed. One guy commented that I didn't need to take kickboxing, I was aggressive enough. lol I agree with alot of the other posts; kickboxing is not that out of the norm any longer. With phenomenons like Tae Bo I think kickboxing is seen as another exercise class.
I do feel that females have an easier time challenging gender codes then males do. I can imagine if my brothers who are 6'4" and rugged football players posted on their facebooks I'm going to take up sewing the ridcule they'd get from their friends and our own family! All in joking of course, but this a small example of how girls can cross that code with ease compared to males.

It's very true. I also think what kind of environment you are raised in has so much to do with how you view gender roles as well.
