Honestly, what I found with my Facebook question was not anything controversial. I was actually surprised that more people didn't care. My roommate said she would not be affected at all as long as there were still sports classes to take. The other two people that commented on my status also took the alternate approach from what I expected. One said that she would probably be a little disappointed, but that it wouldn't affect her too much, and the other said that he would love it if BYU didn't have sports and he would actually come here.
I'm sure there are people out there that would go crazy if that's what happened, but it makes it more bearable to if the First Presidency were the ones to make the decision. Overall, I think that the students, like the first person who commented on my status, would be disappointed for a little while but eventually adapt and move on. I guess it's not as big of a deal as I thought it would be.
