These people have lasted the longest because they have made the biggest changes. They did what no one else did.

That slide show was cool. I definitely view these people as heroes. I agree that they have made the biggest changes and did things that others couldn't and didn't do.

Now it's good to see some actual heroes in this slide show. They actually did some good and changed the world. They made a great impact.

Most of the people are true heroes. There are some modern icons. I don't know why people are so impressed by Kanye West. I thought his lash out against President Bush was fairly bothersome. You want to be a true icon like Tupac? You have to sacrifice a little more. Anyways, heroes fight the system to improve it and they do it for others, not themselves.

I can't argue they did not achieve greatness but was it not easier back then to change the world - when no one had come before you?

Time adds a mysticism to an individuals life...Documentaries make them timeless...

Definitely Heroes.

This slide show was fun to watch because there actually were some heroes and icons. These people have lasted due to the changes they have made in our history. They were the first to make that change.

These pictures are too pixilated for me to decide. I cannot follow a person who doesn't look good in pictures.

Most of these people are heroes but there seem to be some that have snuck in who definately aren't for example the High School Musical girl, Kanye, or others like those. I do agree with some pictured as heroes like Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King Jr.

I think I'd take Bono off and Bruce Springstein. U2 was good, but they've kind of sucked ever since Bono started wearing sunglasses all the time around the time of their release of Pop Mart (horrible album). And come on the Boss? I think the only hit he's had in the last 20 years is for the Jerry Macguire soundtrack which came out 10 years ago.

sorry about the hate on Bono for all you Bonofidos out there, but it's true.

People's lives are mythologized. Documentaries document the myths at least as much as the reality of it.

I think this is a good mix of heroes, charlatans and icons. They've all done something revolutionary in their own right.
